Land clearing
Overgrown lot? Our crews clear it.
A tract full of trees and brush is hard to show, hard to price and hard to use. Our crews bring the equipment — forestry mulchers, excavators, skid steers and haul trucks — clear the lot, grub the stumps and leave a graded surface that is ready for a yard, a pad or simply a clean listing photo.
What's included
Brush and tree removal
Mulching or cutting of brush and trees across the lot, with select trees kept where you want shade or a buffer.
Stump grubbing and root raking
Stumps and roots removed where the surface will be built on, so they don't settle under a pad or a gravel yard.
Debris and haul-off
Downed timber, old fencing, concrete and trash loaded and hauled to a permitted facility; mulch can stay on site as ground cover.
Rough grading
Lot graded for positive drainage and proof-rolled, ready for base material, a slab or a survey crew.
How a job runs
- 1
Walk the lot
We confirm the boundary, what stays, what goes, access for equipment and where material will leave the site.
- 2
Written scope and price
A fixed scope with a per-acre or lump-sum price, the schedule, and what permits or tree-preservation rules apply.
- 3
Clear and grade
Most lots under five acres take two to five working days. We keep the entrance and neighboring property protected.
- 4
Walk-through
You see the finished site before the last invoice. Photos and, for listed tracts, an updated aerial for the listing.
Questions we hear
- Do I need a permit to clear land in Houston?
- Clearing itself usually doesn't need a City of Houston permit, but tree-preservation rules apply along public rights-of-way, floodplain and wetland rules can apply to parts of a lot, and some counties and MUDs have their own requirements. We check before we start and tell you what applies.
- What happens to the trees?
- Your choice: mulched in place as ground cover, hauled off, or marketable timber sold with the proceeds credited to the job.
- Can you clear only part of the lot?
- Yes. Many owners clear the frontage and the building area first and leave a tree buffer along the back or a neighbor's line.
